New Name!

So with all that as happened this year in going into business with my mom and sister, it's brought forth some changes. While I began as Simply Sweet Cakes and Treats, I am now merging with Carmela's Cottage. A name that means so much, and is the right fit to continue and grow my name and talent along with. What started as a darling cottage set for small events and cooking classes has grown into so much more! Now to add to is a cupcake cafe; also offering custom cakes, wedding cakes and other sweet treats. It has been a lot of work and is continuing to grow. Hope you will all follow me there!!

Simply Sweet now has a new home! I am so excited to expand my business at 188 N. Main in Alpine, UT. I am not only baking wedding cakes, sculpted cakes and celebrations cakes, but am now offering over 50 flavors of cupcakes, my famous butter cream sugar cookies, french macarons "mini mac's and other sweet treats! Big Day for Brigham!

Miss Brinley

Let's just leave it with this picture instead of the one we have when we first got to the hospital. Brinley is doing better than great! She is doing amazing considering what her poor body experienced. We got THE BEST possible outcome and we couldn't be more grateful. She still has the occasional headache and can hear muffled talking in the ear that she landed on but is expected to be totally fine in maybe a few more weeks. The only thing making her crazy is the down time. Go figure, my lazy lizard is finally sick of being lazy when now is the time she needs to be to recover. Thanks for all the love and prayers for Brindle-pants!!

Be Our Guest

 My Mom and sisters are opening up a darling little cottage in the heart of Alpine, Utah! We will now be hosting small events such as Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, Little Miss Manner's Tea Parties, Cupcake & Cake Decorating Parties, Book Club, Quilt Group and Luncheons, ALL with the most adorable themes and decor! We do all the work for you! Mom will also be moving her cooking classes to this cottage. She offers a whole range of classes for all different levels of chefs and she delivers them based on family traditions that she has been taught. There will even be parties that are tied into cooking demonstrations! I will also be running my Simply Sweet Cakes & Treats business here! I am so excited to expand my business and make a name for myself!

All this will be coming August 2012!!!
